About The Calculator Site
The Calculator Site is operated by the Hazell family, based in both the United Kingdom and Taiwan. The website was founded in 2004 as a fun hobby and has since developed into a very popular tool. The Calculator Site has grown in popularity, particularly so in recent years. Traffic has risen from around 3,500 visitors per day in early 2012 to over 100,000 visitors per day in 2020.
Alastair Hazell has a background in entrepreneurship, business strategy and problem solving, with a wealth of experience in the internet industry. He has created over 150 calculators in his 15 years of working on The Calculator Site.
Alastair previously founded the health website Medical News Today, leading it to become an influential health publisher over the course of a decade and a half, before selling it to Healthline in 2016. You can find out more about Alastair's journey on his personal website at argh.com.
