How to calculate your height in cm

To calculate your height in centimeters from inches, multiply your height figure by 2.54. If your height is in feet and inches, multiply the feet figure by 12 first, before adding on the extra inches and multiplying by 2.54.

Let's look at an example conversion.

Example: Mabel is 5ft 4 inches tall (5' 4"). To convert that figure to centimeters, she multiplies the 5ft by 12 to get 60 inches, then adds on the other 4 inches to get a total of 64 inches. She then multiplies that figure by 2.54.

  1. 5ft × 12 = 60 inches.
  2. 60 inches + 4 inches = 64 inches.
  3. 64 × 2.54 = 162.56 cm
