Converting meters to feet and inches
1 meter is equal to 3 feet and 3.37 inches. Working out a rough estimate in your head may be tricky. Remember that there are 12 inches in a foot.
Converting meters to feet
1 meter is approximately 3.28 feet . Should you wish to convert from feet to meters in your head, divide the figure by 3 for a very rough approximation.
Converting meters to inches
There are approximately 39.37 inches in 1 meter. If you want to calculate a rough estimate in your head, multiply your meters figure by 40. Should you wish to convert inches to meters, divide your inches figure by 40 for a rough approximation.
Converting feet to inches
This calculation is quite straight forward in comparision. There are exactly 12 inches in 1 foot. So, multiply your feet figure by 12 to get your inches figure. If you wish to convert the other way, divide your inches figure by 12.
